When you are a self-employed professional and teach dancing in The Netherlands, sometimes you have to invoice with VAT, and sometimes you invoice without. Whether you invoice VAT depends on the age of your students. Are they younger than 21 years old?

Most of the work done by journalists is exempt from VAT. However, in some cases you, as a journalist, might do journalism-related work that is not legally acknowledged as a journalistic activity. For these activities, you will need to pay VAT.
