The risers, the decliners and the new arrivals

In the Netherlands employers are obliged to announce to their employees at least one month before the end of the labour contract, whether or not their employment will be extended.

As of 2022 the option to receive deduction on the Dutch income tax for educational expenses expires. Instead, you can apply for a subsidy of a maximum of € 1.000 for education and development.

The 30%-ruling is a special expense compensation arrangement. An employee can be considered for this scheme if they come to work in The Netherlands or are sent abroad .

When you start working for an employer or when you hire an employee, you will make agreements about the work and the compensation for that work.
